Alternate to texturizing putty/hair spray?

I have just about every hair product but like, hair putty stuff and the extra hold hair spray.

I want a really texturizing putty thing and wicked holding hair spray.

Any like, home things/like kitchen things that would be alternate?

--Besides going out and getting some.

My brother does something with Elmer's glue and a blowdryer. I tried egg whites so that might help. Protein in the egg whites make them go stiff, like if you cook eggs and leave them on a plate it's really hard to get off. Tell me what you find!
