Hair teasing and hair spray?

well i usually tease my hair to give it some volume! but when i tease it when its fully washed.. because i wash my hair for example on monday night than tuesday morning i go and tease my hair it stays up for about an hour but after it goes down and stays flat! but usually on the second day it lasts longer.. i use the chi hairspray what is a good brand i could use that will make it stick up the whole day? or close too it

I seriously have struggled with the same problem because my hair is so thick the weight flattens it. The reason it works better on Tuesday is because dirty hair will always style better than clean hair. I have discovered that so many women, hairstylists included, only wash their hair every 3 days for that reason. That is also the reason we put product on our hair, so it's not so clean.

So here's what's worked for me:

Don't use conditioner on top of your head, just the bottom half of your hair needs it and it will weigh it down.

Put some Big Sexy Volumizing Root Pump in wet hair before you blow dry.

Get your hair sort of dry first (because if its too wet it has no memory) and then use a HUGE round brush with your blow dryer. It takes practice but you'll be able to do it. Concentrate on the hair on top of your head. Hold the blowdyer on it for like 10 seconds and then move the blow dryer away (the cool will make it hold its shape) while still keeping the round brush in, move on to the next section.

Next I bought the coolest comb from Sally's it has like 3 rows of teeth, it works wonders on the crown of your head.

Section hair, starting at the back and working your way forward and backcomb it, the higher up you backcomb (as you hold your hair straight up) the higher your hair will be. Then before you lay that section down, hair spray it either with Big Sexy Max Hold or Paul Mitchell's new one. Let it dry while you move on to the next section.

Then make sure you lay it down, using your comb and comb over only the top layer so that your hair doesn't look like a rat's nest!!!
