How to remove hair spray from leather?

Hair spray will leave a sticky residue on the surface of the leather. Gentle cleaning with a good foam leather cleaner (water based) will be the best remedy. If this doesn't work you will need to consult a leather technician as they may need to use solvents to remove it which could damage the finish and this will then need replacing.

As you have a problem with hairspray it makes me wonder why everyone on here recommends iot for removing ink!!!!!

Please DO NOT use peanut butter, this contains oils which will further add to the problem.

Saddle soap is too harsh on todays leather finishes.

This is goign to sound funny, but it's true. Peanut butter is the best emulsifier for getting sticky things off of surfaces.

I don't know that I've used it on leather yet...

but when there was a fire in the basement and the double-sided carpet tape would not come off of the tile floor, peanut butter saved the day. Gum in hair? Stickers left on the boxes of birthday presents? Peanut butter! Rub off gently.

Try this cleaning cloth. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!

...I encourage you to try it out.
