I want to use a spray in neon color for a party - what's the best way to achieve a vibrant, non-helmet head look? (I have light brown hair naturally, if that makes a difference)
The spray on color usually allways feels very thick when it dries. The best thing you could do for it to look nice would be to straighten in first so it's extra straight, then just apply the color.
And does it work as well?
Well, I guess it depends more on the brand. non-aerosol spray is easier on the environment, not just because of the propellant, that has changed over the years, but because the container is usually recyclable plastic, but metal aerosol containers can't be recycled because of the explosion risk. One isn't gentler than the other, and they work the same. You can probably be a little more accurate with the spay and the amount used with non-aerosol.
Is the new movie hairspray a "chick Flick". Would A 13 year old guy like it?
I think so. It's very entertaining, and the music and dancing are great, and it is a very funny movie.

I Saw it its a musical and its kind of a chick flick. im a 13 year old girl and i loved it, a guy perhaps not unless hes into musicals and singing and teens crushing on celebs.

Hairspray is a great show, but the movie isn't very good at all.
I'd say a teenage boy wouldn't really like it; it's a romantic comedy with a segregation twist, and I've never known guys to me particularly enthusiastic about musicals.
Also, it's set in the 60's, and the main characters are overweight, so there aren't any hot girls for him to ogle, and the costuming will look ridiculous to him.
However, you might be pleasantly surprised; he may decide he likes it after all if you force some culture on him.

that's a really good question! sometimes i wait until my iron is semi-hot, and then i use a paper towel to scrub off the residue....that's what i do, however, i bet if you go to a hair stylist store( like Sally's.), you can ask someone what professionals use to clean them.

I have heard about some sort of spray on hair filler that you can spray on if you have hair loss and it fills in what is missing. Anyone know anything about this? I don't want it to look like an Earl Shives paint job.
I didn't even know that stuff was still out on the market. Ron Popeil (of Ronco fame) ran an infomercial on something called GHC in the mid-90s which was supposed to be used to cover up bald spots temporarily. You can probably go down to the hardware store and buy a can of spray paint to do the same.
Why would you want to do something like that anyway? It's so fake. You'll know that it's not your real hair even if you manage to fool everyone else.
My hair has been constantly (every 3 months i think) dyed for about two years... when I was 12 I tried to get red highlights in my blonde hair and they turned this horrible pink color and had to dye my whole head auburn... anyway. I bought this spray in pink stuff... I just want a change for a day. It says not to use on chemically treated hair but do u think its okay? It will probably stain the blonde parts. When you highlight your hair, the hair shaft becomes more porous, think of it like a sponge. Test it on a small peice of highlighted hair that won't show very much if it does stain. Leave it on for a few hours, then wash that strip and see if it stains. Its the only way to know!
yeah, its fine. they sprays arnt that good though. they look like sprays. food colouring is good as long as it doesnt rain, if it does you have pink streaks everywhere.
that wouldn't be a good idea, it probably won't wash right out.
your lightened/damaged hair will absorb it and it WILL stain.
I have friend that has struggled with his thinning hair for many years. He has tried to many things to remedy his genetic problem.
But for the past few years he has sprayed on this black spray that gives the illusion of a fuller head of hair. This prevents him from many activities that he used to enjoy such as swimming and other water sports. His look also discourages him from going to public places quite often.
This so-called "spray on hair" does give an impressive illusion, but it's not the same as having a nice full head of hair that every young man should enjoy.
What alternatives does he have other then slapping on a wig or costly hair plugs?
Tell him to just shave it all. Bald is cool and It is hip.. Just go with it and quit fighting it. Lot`s of women LIKE bald guys. And did you know that bald guys have more testosterone (male hormone) than guys with full heads of hair..
Just beam with confidence, walk up and smile really nicely.. Bald guys are cute as can be to many many women.. Get into it and dig it..

I've seen the TV ad, but never really seen it up close. I think it's more attractive for a man with a receding hairline to simply shave his head. Sexy!!!

I got my hair thinned also...but I don't mind as long as I am what I am. But once after getting married I will get myself a bald head.

He should try Rogaine. If he doesn't like that, he should just shave off all his hair so it makes it look like he did it on purpose. I like bald men and there are many others out there that do too.

But if he is continuing to use it he obviously likes the product.
